Thompson will announce the deployment of Police Foot Patrols within the City of Harrisburg. The purpose is to patrol specified areas within the city on foot and bicycle to deter and curtail crime and thus reestablish and build a trusting and faithful relationship between community, residents, and business owners. Thompson will announce the start of her Connecting, Inspiring, Teaching, Youth (C.I.T.Y.), C.I.T.Y.-wide Mentorship Initiative for the City of Harrisburg at a press conference at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, in the City Government Atrium.
