The Bureau of Financial Management proudly presents the 2007 Proposed Budget. It is provided for download as a Adobe Acrobat PDF document.

Tax Forms and Licenses Online

The Tax and Enforcement Office is now providing many of the tax and license application forms online for immediate download. Included is the Business Privilege and Mercantile Tax Return. Each is provided in popular Adobe Acrobat PDF format.

Bureau of Data Processing Changes Name

The Bureau of Data Processing is now the Bureau of Information Technology. The name change reflects a modern focus on the jobs of the bureau as it relates to city operations.

The Comprehensive Financial Report (CAFR) for 2006 is online.

The Bureau of Financial Management is now providing the CAFR online for public download. The CAFR, independently audited to meet scrict municipal and public standards, provides a extensive look at the financial position of the City.

About the Department of Administration

The Department of Administration, headed by the Business Administrator, who is appointed by the Mayor, performs the fiscal and central administrative functions of the City. The department of Administration works with the Mayor to uphold policy by overseeing the administrative management and supervision of all City departments. The Business Administrator works with department directors, deputy directors, and bureau directors to assure the proper administration of their operations. This department has one Deputy Business Administrator.

The Deputy Business Administrator serves as Director of the Bureau of Financial Management, directing the Accounting, Budget, Purchasing and Insurance and Risk Management Offices with the assistance of four office managers, and is responsible for the fiscal management of the City.

The Bureau of Human Resources, headed by a Director, maintains all personnel records for every employee and processes all salary increases and the bi-weekly payroll for every City employee.

The Affirmative Action Officer reports directly to the Business Administrator and is responsible for implementing the City’s Affirmative Action Policy. The Affirmative Action Policy, established by executive order of the Mayor in 1982, assures equal employment opportunities for all persons.
