MAYOR INVITES ALL CITIZENS TO THIS YEARS ITALIAN LAKE CONCERT SERIES AND LEVITT LIVE PERFORMANCES
Harrisburg, PA Mayor Stephen R. Reed today invited all citizens to the City of Harrisburgs free Italian Lake Concert Series beginning Sunday, July 13, and continuing every Sunday through August 24. Reed also said the Citys free Levitt Live performances are now underway and are held every Saturday from now to August 23, in addition to a special concert on September 20. Each of the popular concert and performance series are sponsored and produced by the City and offer a diverse agenda of musical and other performances.
Reed said the Italian Lake Concert Series is, in part, made possible through a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. Concerts at the Lake will begin Sunday, July 13, at 7:30 p.m., when the Greater Harrisburg Concert Band returns to Italian Lake for a command performance of show tunes, marches and contemporary and traditional symphonic music. The 40-member orchestra is comprised of professional musicians, music teachers and band directors from throughout Central Pennsylvania. Each subsequent concert also begins at 7:30 p.m.

- The Amaryllis Santiago Trio (July 20, 7:30 p.m.)
- Boys with Wrinkles (July 27, 7:30 p.m.)
- Red Molly, presented in conjunction with the Susquehanna Folk Music Society (August 3, 7:30 p.m.)
- Excerpts from La Boheme featuring voices from Capitol Opera Harrisburg (August 10, 7:30 p.m.)
- Gadjo Playboys (August 17, 7:30 p.m.)
- Voxology (August 24, 7:30 p.m.)
Reed said each of the Italian Lake Concert Series performances are held at Italian Lake at N. 3rd and Division Streets in the Citys Uptown. He said that in the event of rain, each of the performances would be held at the Camp Curtain School at 2900 N. 6th Street, three blocks away.
The Mayor also announced the performances for the Levitt Live Pavilion in Reservoir Park. The free performances include dance, theatre and music including Shakespeare in the Park, reggae, jazz, classical, hip-hop, Motown, Latin, swing, and more. The rain location for the Levitt Live series is the John Harris High School Auditorium, five blocks away.

- Gospel in the City, featuring Kirsten Nicole Harris (June 21, 7:30 p.m.)
- African Family Festival (June 28, 7:00 and 9:30 p.m. & June 29, 12:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.)
- Outdoor Movie "The Bee Movie" (July 5, 8:30 p.m.)
- Keystone Concert Band (July 12, 7:30 p.m.)
- Jazz Under the Stars (July 19, 7:30 p.m.)
- Hairspray Karaoke Night / Outdoor Movie "Hairspray" (July 26, 7:30 p.m.)
- Reggae Festival (August 2, 7:30 p.m.)
- "Black History Enrichment Series Youth Performance and Outdoor Movie "Pride" (August 9, 7:30 p.m.)
- "Blues in the Night" presented in conjunction with the PA Blues Society (August 16, 7:30 p.m.)
- Bunch-A-Funk (August 23, 7:30 p.m.)
- Womens Music Festival (September 20)
