Harrisburg, PA Mayor Stephen R. Reed today said that one suspect has been arrested and another is wanted in connection with a Sunday morning shooting that occurred in the 400 block of S. 17th Street in South Allison Hill.
Reed said Antonio Horne, 31, of the 1700 block of Herr Street, was arrested and charged with homicide, conspiracy to commit homicide, burglary, recklessly endangering another person, various firearms violations and discharging a firearm within an occupied structure, in connection with the incident. Horne is currently being treated at a local hospital for gunshot injuries sustained during the altercation. He is scheduled to be arraigned this evening.
Reed also said police are currently searching for Mark Collins, 19, of the 1800 block of Boas Street, in connection with the homicide. He is wanted on charges of homicide, conspiracy to commit homicide, burglary, recklessly endangering another person, various firearms violations and discharging a firearm within an occupied structure.
Reed said police were originally dispatched to the location at 10:50 a.m. on Sunday for a shots fired call. Officers arrived within minutes and first found Horne, with at least one gunshot wound, sitting on the sidewalk up the street from the location of the incident. Horne was immediately transported to a nearby hospital.
Police soon identified another male victim that had also been shot on the balcony area of a nearby residence. The victim, James Buckner, 32, received multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Under his right arm was a shotgun, which police seized.
Reed said the investigation indicates that the shootings occurred as a result of a domestic altercation between Buckner, Horne and Collins. This incident involves three guns being used by three persons.
Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Collins is urged to contact Harrisburg Police at 255-3131 or Dauphin County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-262-3080. A reward of up to $2,000.00 is available for information leading to his arrest.
