POLICE SEEK INFORMATION IN OVERNIGHT ROBBERY ATTEMPT
Harrisburg, PA Mayor Stephen R. Reed today said that Harrisburg Police are seeking additional information in connection with a robbery attempt that occurred overnight.
Reed said police were called to a retail store at the intersection of N. 3rd and Maclay Streets around 8:10 p.m. last night for a report of a robbery. An immediate investigation indicated that a male suspect walked into the store with a bat covered with a towel. He demanded money but was not given it. He then hit the cashier in the head with the bat and fled the store. The cashier received minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police said the suspect is described as a black male in his 30s. He was wearing a light blue shirt, blue jeans and a blue baseball cap with a blue surgical mask. He is described as about 59 in height.
