TWO PEDESTRIANS STRUCK IN SUNDAY VEHICULAR ACCIDENT HAVE DIED
Harrisburg, PA Mayor Stephen R. Reed today said that two pedestrians have died after they were both struck by an oncoming vehicle at the intersection of North Front and Verbeke Streets on Sunday afternoon.
Reed said the accident occurred just after 1:00 p.m. and involved the two victims each of whom was traveling by foot and a pickup truck traveling southbound. The female victim, Carmen Sanchezseda, was pronounced deceased upon arrival by emergency technicians. Her husband, Able Seda, was also critically injured and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. He died late this morning as a result of injuries suffered during the accident. Both the victims were city residents.
Reed said police reconstructed the accident on Sunday afternoon but have not completed their full investigation. He said no charges have been yet filed against the driver at this time. He said the driver of the vehicle has fully cooperated with police.
